The sub-market of the Agricultural Products Market Committee is located in the center of the city. The sub-market premises are spread over an area of 0.83 hectares (1.97 acres). On 11 January 1990, this market was declared as a sub-market premises. The land of this market premises is owned by the committee and the committee has provided all the necessary facilities for the convenience of farmers and traders on this market premises. It mainly consists of farmer's residence, auction shed, godown, drinking water system and a two-storey building with all the facilities of the head office of the committee. All the work of the committee was being carried out from this head office before 1 March 2013. This building houses the farmers' residence.
Two grain godowns have been constructed in this market premises for storing the agricultural goods of farmers. Their capacity is 800 and 500 MT respectively. The Agricultural Product Market Committee charges a modest rate of Rs 2 per month per bag on the agricultural produce stored by the farmers in the warehouse. For those farmers who are in need of money and do not want to sell their agricultural produce, this market committee has implemented the agricultural produce deposit scheme implemented by the marketing board. For this, the farmer's good quality agricultural produce is stored in the committee's warehouse in 95 kg bags and in return, he is paid 75% of the value of his agricultural produce as per today's market price from the deposit scheme. The market committee charges 6% interest for 180 days on the amount given as deposit to the farmer. Shops have been set up in this market premises for the convenience of traders and traders. Abundant water has been arranged through a well in the market premises.
